In the last week, approximately 900 deaths were recorded in China, caused by the coronavirus. There is no confirmation of the triggering factor that caused the virus to mutate, but there is some speculation by scientists and researchers, some possible hosts have already been mentioned, such as bats, pangolins (an endangered mammal), and other animals. The study attempts to link the population’s consumption of the main point of contamination (Wuhan) with the animals.

It didn’t take long for the terrible virus to spread, affecting four continents, several countries closed their borders and nations started their operations to repatriate foreign people who were in other countries. Brazilians who went through the repatriation process arrived this Sunday (9) and must undergo quarantine.
Economy
Foreign trade players and international negotiations received notices that factories would remain closed after the holiday, many freight forwarders and logistics professionals had the option of working in a home office, but with little work, as there was no transport, no production and no forecast, it is not possible to carry out any planning.

So far, the government has not seen a drop in Brazilian exports, but it claims that there will be a medium-term decline. Even so, it is a cause for concern, as some refrigerated containers are parked in terminals, preventing the entry of new ones, which are being redirected to nearby countries, such as Singapore and Hong Kong.
The technology
The World Health Organization has declared an international critical condition, prompting China in recent weeks to build a 1,000-bed hospital in 10 days in Wuhan, which will house patients infected with the coronavirus.
Chinese authorities are operating drones to ensure that people only leave their homes wearing masks, drones are also being used to spray disinfectant. The drone fleet has the capacity to cover up to 300,000 m² in less than four hours and the population is also collaborating, using their own drones.
Most of the port complexes in China are autonomous, that is, they do not need people to operate inside the port, allowing the loading and unloading of cargo without the risk of contamination by the crew and stevedores. Qingdao port, for example, has eliminated 85% of the workforce, and can only be controlled by 9 port operators in office.
